Museum Program of WWI Veteran

Date:

Martin Haugse

The Garretson Historical Society (Museum) had planned to have its Annual Meeting/ Dinner/ WWI re-enactment in mid- January, but inclement weather took care of that. We will try again, but with a different format.

The event will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, March 18th, at the Legion building. It is open to the public. Following a very short meeting of museum business, the program will be a production by the American Legion and Auxiliary, based on the actual history of the life, military service in WW I, death and eventual return home of the young Garretson resident, Martin G. Haugse. The actual letters, news articles, and photos used in this story, are museum property. This is just one example of the vast amount of interesting, historical artifacts at your Garretson Museum.

There is no charge. All are welcome and urged to attend. Refreshments will be served following the program.
