Local EMT recognized for 20 Years of Service

Date:

Mike Ebbing
Mike Ebbing was recently recognized for 20 years of service as an EMT, and is part of the crew that serves the Garretson community.

Mike Ebbing, an EMT with Garretson Community Ambulance, was recently recognized by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians for achieving twenty consecutive years of National EMS Certification. This distinction is an honor held by few EMS professionals.

To maintain his status as a Nationally Registered EMT, Ebbing completed, on a biennial basis, the most comprehensive recertification program for EMS professionals in America.

By maintaining his National EMS Certification and completing regular continuing education courses, Ebbing has demonstrated his commitment to providing exceptional prehospital emergency medical care.

Ebbing was Nationally Registered as an EMT in 2001 and has been serving the Garretson community since 2003.

The National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians serves as the National EMS Certification organization by providing a valid, uniform process to assess the knowledge and skills required for competent practice by EMS professionals throughout their careers and by maintaining a registry of certification status.

Ebbing appreciates the support the Garretson Ambulance receives from the community, and was grateful for the turnout at their most recent fundraiser, a tailgate that was held last Friday. He stated that despite the cool weather and tough team, the community supported the fundraising efforts.
