Public hearing on wheel tax hike set for June 17 county commission meeting

SIOUX FALLS – At their Tuesday, May 20, meeting, Minnehaha County Commissioners moved ahead with plans for an increase to the wheel tax, although for what will be less than anticipated.

On a motion from Commissioner Jen Bleyenberg during the first reading of a proposed increase ordinance, she called for “Option B” to be discussed at the second reading at 9 a.m., Tuesday, June 17, in the regular commission meeting.
