Susan Hartenhoff Haygood will soon be opening Palisades Art Gallery in the second suite of 506 N Main, south of the Garretson Gazette. She owns Hartenhoff Haygood Studios, where she paints portraits of animals such as horses, foxes, birds, and dogs, and scenes such as rodeos.
Haygood intends to also include other artists as the gallery gets established, but will start with her work. She will also have a studio in the back where she will be producing her creations, and is hoping to eventually do one-on-one teaching sessions if there's interest.
The opening date for the gallery has not yet been set, though Haygood is working hard to set up the new space.
