Obituary: Marlene Ann Farrand, 83

Sioux Falls ~ Marlene Ann Farrand, 83, died Saturday, October 3, 2020 at the Alcester Care and Rehab Center in Alcester, SD. Private family graveside services will be held at Summit Hill Cemetery in Garretson, SD at a later date.

Marlene Allan was born in 1936 to Sydney and Elenora (Reemts) Allan of Garretson, SD.

She married Roy W. Boehmke and had two children.

Later she married Sergeant Gary R. Farrand, moving often and to many different locations, as was the life of a military spouse. She enjoyed ballroom dancing and fishing, many crafts and baking sweets and candies in her spare time. All her friends and family will remember her in their each and own ways. She resided at Meadows on Sycamore in Sioux Falls and later at the Alcester Care and Rehab Center. The family would like to give a thank you to the staff of both facilities for their kindness and patience.

Marlene is survived by one son, Scott (Renee') Farrand of Columbia, SC and one daughter, Debra (Walker) Munce of Sioux Falls, SD; two grandchildren, Scott's children, Roy (Ariana) Farrand, Emory Farrand, nieces, nephews and cousins.
