Garretson matched up against the Fighting Cougars from McCook Central-Montrose on Thursday, February 2. The Blue Dragons had a couple quick buckets early in the game and kept the score close in the first quarter.
However, the Cougars went on a run in the second quarter. The Blue Dragons were unable to match, finding themselves doubled up at half, 9-18. The offensive game for the Blue Dragons couldn’t keep pace with the play of the Fighting Cougars and MCM went on to win 35 – 18. Ashley Harris led the offensive effort with six points. Jordan DeWitte chipped in five points and grabbed six rebounds.
