4th Street Construction update

First Rate Excavate has tied the existing water services over to the temporary water main. They have also begun replacing the 8” clay sanitary sewer main with a new 8” PVC line. The 4” and 6” sanitary sewer services are also being replaced to the property lines. Lastly, Total Tree Service has finished removing trees and grinding the stumps.

Next, First Rate will continue replacing the sanitary sewer main and services to the east. They will also begin replacing the old, 4” cast iron pipe (CIP), water main with a new 6” PVC water main.

In addition, the contractor will prepare the disturbed areas within Phase 1 for final stabilization. Topsoil will be added to any low-lying areas. The larger stones and rocks will also be removed. Once final grading is complete, Splitrock Landscaping will place seed, fertilizer, and hydromulch on all disturbed areas.
